RITMO RECORDS is celebrating its sixth year in business and great things continue to happen! The Independent record label was created in 2003 by veteran singer/songwriter Daniel Mendoza with only a shoestring budget and blind faith. Since that time, RITMO RECORDS has grown far beyond its original projections in 2003 and at a much faster rate. The label finished 2nd in the 2005 Tejano Magazine "Best Tejano Record Label Of The Year" vote. RITMO RECORDS has also had the privelege of having three bands nominated for Tejano Music Awards as well as two finalsts for Grammy nominations! CEO Daniel Mendoza was also voted as the runner up as 2005 "Most Influential Person in Tejano Music" by Tejano Magazine.
 
The super talented artist roster boasts of acts like SUPER GRUPO ALDACO from Michigan. Their album "Tejano With Class" caused quite a buzz in the Tejano industry, and now their sophomore album is dropping and awards will be on the way! Also from Michigan is LOS ESTRELLAS DE ORO making their name in the Conjunto world and also JUVE ALDACO "EL JEFE" with his new album "I'M BACK". From Eagle Pass, Texas comes RESCATE...not just a clever name...they are REAL FIREMEN from the Eagle Pass Fire Dept. and have a red hot new album entitled "Entre Humo Y Fuego". Out of Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico comes DESIERTOS MARES with their highly charged Rock en Español influx...their debut CD is out and has done very well. GRUPO VENGANZA from Detroit, Michigan, ~MENDOZA~ with his Latin/R&B flair from the fiery desert town of Arizona City, Arizona, and our newest signings of 2008 are GRUPO ECLIPSE from North Carolina, ANGEL from California and D-RON from Hemphill, Texas blazing those rap lyrics, KANDELA SHOW from Medford, Oregon, and LOS CARNALES from Michigan.
 
Some of our former signed acts include 2005 TTMA Awards nominee LOS JALAPEÑOS, (their first album was produced by Grammy Award recipient JOEL GUZMAN) also named “Best Tejano/Conjunto Band Of The Year-2005” by Tejano Magazine, PRESTIGIO from Dallas, Texas...winners of the 2006 Dallas "Battle Of The Bands", LAS FLORECITAS aka "THEE TWINZ" who were the 2005 Tejano Artist Showcase winners in Las Vegas, Nevada and named the 2005 New Mexico "Band Of The Year" as well as 2006 TTMA nominees, 2005 TTMA nominee MAS AMBICION, ALERTA 3, and ORGULLO NORTEÑO hailing from Monterrey, N.L. Mexico.
 
Add to that the cross promotions that have strengthened our networking and new connections throughout the world with acts like rapper/actor NEXXIS, aka TANK JONES (movie credits include “THREE KINGS” with GEORGE CLOONEY) and the sensational QUEEN of SALSOUL, CECILIA NOEL, who along with husband COLIN HAY (MEN AT WORK) are active worldwide on tours and collaborations, and many others. Our new Senior Vice President of Operations is BOB OLIVO, a well known radio personality and industry guy who still holds down the "Oldies" show on BNet Radio Tejano in Houston, Texas. 2006 brought the promotion of NANO FUENTES, Vice President from Michigan who runs our Detroit office and is also the Director of the "RITMO NATION", our label e-team and street team. Back on board the label is ADAM BROWN as Vice President. He is located in our Colorado Springs, Colorado office. MAURICE "BIG MO" JONES has joined our team now in 2008 and heads up the recording and engineering at our Arizona facility. His production company BULLET PROOF PRODUCTIONS is now a RITMO RECORDS Divisional business. MARTHA MOREIRA is now managing our Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico office, and ERICA MOREYRA is the Director of Public Relations and based in Texas. We are now represented in the field by LEANDRA GUZMAN from the D/FW Metroplex and TINA VEGA covering the greater Houston area. This group of people, along with our President and CEO, DANIEL MENDOZA, bring extensive experience and unique expertise to the table. Working together with a common vision, the staff of RITMO RECORDS has set out to revolutionize the relationship between Band and Record Label. We look at our artists and staff as being one big "FAMILIA" in pursuit of the same goal…….SUCCESS!
 
RITMO RECORDS also owns other industry related businesses that compliment our overall operation. We own a publishing company called SIERRA NOAH MUSIC (ASCAP), an internet radio station, RITMO RADIO NETWORK, and our studio in Houston County, Texas GALAXY SOUNDS, and we also offer touring assistance, booking, management, artist development and so much more.
 
We try to keep the pricing of our services and contractual agreements fair both to the musician and the label. We are, afterall.......musicians ourselves and we do feel the pains of this industry!
