This is the list of songs to be on the 2nd CD, Looking Back.

This CD is a follow up to the 1st CD Crossroads, thus continuing the story of Jeff Todd through music.

The 1st song Our Time is the newest song to be written by Jeff, this song was wrote after the 2009 election, it’s  lyrics are meant to enhance the times were living in, with good intentions.

Track # 2, 4, and 5 are written by Tammy Beal and recorded by Jeff Todd. JT picked these songs because he can relate to them, as should most of his audience.

Tracks 3 & 7 were written about the same time most of the songs on Crossroads were written.

Track 6 is about a person who JT encountered while donating 120 days to the county.

Track 8, Star Rider is the follow up to Living in the Shadows that is on Crossroads. Track 10, I Need Somebody is a special song that JT wrote while playing in the Florida Key’s with BB King in mind.

Crossroads

The 1st CD by Jeff Todd

This CD has been looked at by differently by many different people. Some think the quality of the recordings are pure crap and would never think of putting out such low quality music, and some absolutely love the music for just what it was meant to be, a pure, raw, amped up in you face dirty Blues collection of songs. This music was meant to be this quality, truth is known this was JTs 1st attempt at recording and Jeff wanted this CD to be dirty and raw, that’s the Blues to Jeff. Jeff’s inexperience in mastering & producing actually helped out this time. So it fit, it stayed.

Crossroads was 1st written in the county Jail down in Sebastian Florida 2000.  The idea was Jeff was going to change his life style; this is the beginning of the story. The title track Crossroads is about changing his life, In the Heat of the Night was written years later while chatting on line with a lady friend who asked Jeff to write her a song right then. You Were Gone & Stormy out Tonight were written after a relationship ended. Living in the Shadows was written about a one of the only women Jeff truly loved.

Back Door Man was inspired by a 80 year old bluesman sitting on the porch in Mississippi while going to Texas in 2007. Hard Times & Trouble was written by Jeff’s former Drummer Stephey C in 2007 that Jeff had brief relationship with and they are good friends still today. Don’t Mess with Texas was inspired on the same trip to Texas as Back Door Man, and Mannish Boy, the Muddy Waters version of Bo Diddley’s hit I’m a Man was recorded because JT could relate to the song so much. Do Diddley’s was also a dear friend to Jeff and is the one who told Jeff to (Keep it Simple Baby),” you do what you do, let them do what they do, that’s how we make music” Bo Diddley 2005.
