For The Records is an artist run, independent record label that releases quality records.  Originally founded as Jasper Records in 2000, in order to release solo records from founder Matt Jasper, it was renamed For The Records with the release of As A Matter Of Fact in 2007, and the rerelease of the previously out of print The Distance Between.  Since 2000, there have been four solo releases for Matt Jasper under the Jasper Records/For The Records imprint, as well as the release projects by Red Electric, as well as a compilation CD for the Rutgers University Musicians Guild.
