About
So you may be asking yourself - what exactly is FIXT Music? FIXT is the independent record label of electronic-rock artist Klayton of Celldweller (credits include Spider-man 2 & 3, Superman Returns, C.S.I., Need For Speed: Most Wanted, Crackdown, etc...). Fixt is also a Film/TV Licensing entity as well as a growing network of independent artists, many with an existing list of impressive credentials. The company was born from the desire to create a network of artists, bringing together collaborations, remixes, film/tv music placements, other unique production opportunities and ultimately empowering independent artists to break away from the traditional archaic record-deal scenario.

FIXT NEWSLETTER - JUNE 2008
"Life's A Glitch...Get Your's FiXT"
Hey everyone, we've got a few updates for you this month. First off, we've signed a new artist Blue Stahli to the label roster, and the debut single "Kill Me Every Time" is out now at the FiXT Store. Also keep an eye out for a debut release from Squarehead, a new project from Sebastian R. Komor (Icon of Coil, Zombie Girl), coming out in the next month.
For all you Remixers, we're expanding on the Celldweller Remix Competition and building a new Remix Contest Site called FiXT Remix. We'll be launching a new song from the upcoming Celldweller album later this summer, but we're still busy behind the scenes buliding the site. So...as we move over from the existing Celldweller Remix Competition to the new FiXT Remix site, we're releasing Subkulture's "Erasus" as a pre-launch contest through a mini-site at the new site location.
The FiXT crew just hit up the Movement Festival in Detroit over Memorial Day weekend and dropped several thousand promo CDs featuring 21 electronic-focused tracks from the label. If you were one of those who got a CD, we included a special Store Promo Code for a dicount at the FiXT Store - make sure you use it before the end of June. For everyone else reading this we just kicked off a Summer Sale going on during the month of June. Find more details in the newsletter below.
Want Free Music? Well we want to give it to you. We're excited to be partnering with a new company called True Anthem who is helping us distribute a compilation of Celldweller Remixes, including the top "Switchback" Remixes from the last Celldweller Competition. These free MP3 downloads will include a brief intro, including the name of the artist, song title and our sponsor Ubisoft's new video game "Haze." Celldweller will be the first FiXT artist to test out the new distribution model and we hope you'll enjoy the 16 free tracks we've included in this viral widget. Please grab the player from any of our pages in the coming weeks and post them on your sites/myspace, etc..and help spread the music.
We've got more news coming soon, so keep checking back & enjoy the updates!
Best,
James Rhodes
