Indigenous People

Indigenous People is expanding! For 2008 we are adding the amazing San musicians and dancers from Namibia and the Jones Benally Family, traditional Navajo dancers, musicians and story-tellers from Arizona, to our roster. We are also seeking to work with Aboriginal dance groups from Manningrida and Numbulwar in Arnhemland, Northern Australia. As the charity matures to become Europe's only indigenous arts agency, promoting not only traditional music and dance but also the visual arts, story-telling, documentary and feature films from and about indigenous cultures. In addition to marketing and managing tours of the UK and Europe by indigenous performance groups, we will also be hosting indigenous arts spaces in festivals combining workshops, performances, film screenings, art exhibitions, crafts stalls and discussion fora to celebrate and promote indigenous wisdom, knowledge and spirituality.
