CaL-Rock Records was created for the bands and by the bands, gaining influence from artists such as Brett Gurewitz, Tim Armstrong (Hellcat- Records), Fat Mike (Fat Wreck Chords), Vinnie of Less Than Jake, Joey Cape, and Joe Escalante, Warren Fitzgerald, to Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong.

The label has been active since Mid-2006.

The band has worked with many artists through it's booking agency created in the year 2000.  Among the biggest, members of The Ramones, Fishbone, and NOFX.

Cal-Rock has also helped spearhead each of it's bands to do whole U.S. tours from coast to coast, as for actively growing acts on the label.  Other bands have received extensive radio play, youtube promotion, and myspace promotion.  The label has also been featured on the front page of Skratch Magazine which once was the premier indy run punk magazine in the World.  Skratch Magazine had been apart of the Warped Tour extension since its inception.

The label's currently active bands are Chasing Yesterday, The Genuine Imitations, Out Cry, Tomorrow's Cry, and Kontagen.
