Asphyxiate Rec began in the latter months of 2002 by David Henkel, as a sole distributor of undergrond extreme metal. The evilution towards a label began in 2003. The label releases only extreme forms of metal music, and prides itself on unearthing some of the most original and talented debut artists from all corners of the globe.
