Kia's career began in childhood with training in classical violin and voice. It continued throughout college with an internship at Rowdy Records, an Arista Subsidiary under the helm of Dallas Austin in Atlanta. During that time Kia began writing songs and joined a girl group called Third of July. They were signed to indie label Outhouse Records and began work on their debut album. Unfortunately that album was never released.

Kia moved to NYC and began performing in musical theatre. She has performed in Broadway companies and across the nation in various musicals. Recently, Kia has relocated to Los Angeles. Currently working on her own independent release, and also working on projects for local artist releases.
