Keyd / Press

"West Coast Keyd has been making music since 1994. What started out as just a hobby evolved into something more serious. After releasing his first mix cd "Rude and Unusual" it was pretty clear that Keyd was a force to be reckoned with. "I tend to be more outspoken on subjects than other rappers/mcs that are afraid to talk about the things I do in my lyrical content," says Keyd in regards to what makes him different. He has just finished wrapping up 2 projects "Heavily Sedated" featuring L.E. and "Still Rude and Unusual" and has appeared on a number of other projects and collabs world wide. Keyd is now working on his 2nd solo album called "Weird, True and Freaky. Be on the look out for that."

Fidel Cashflow - Pure Cash Magazine

“Hayward representative Keyd released his second solo, but from what we know it's the first official one. The CD titled "Aint No Secret" dropped in the middle of July, but it's still worth mentioning. It's filled with 19 tracks with lots of appearances from local Hayward and San Leandro rappers like Gorilla Pits, Big Lou, E-Rock, Lo-Dub, Rhino and more. You can listen to a couple of previews on the rapper's myspace. www.myspace.com/keyd1”

“Illuminati 2G chopped it up with Bay representer Keyd for a exclusive interview. Many of you recognize him on our Sanctuary Volume 2 mixtape with the smooth track Witchy Woman & The Mack. He discussed his recent mixtape that dropped, Rude & Unusual, and his upcoming album Still Rude & Unusual, the state of westcoast rap and more so check it out.”
