Have you ever been torn between staying with someone that you felt you love an talking to someone knew that seems to peek your interest? Does temptation make us lose value of what things have substance behind it? When is it time to thrown in the towel vs staying with someone you may be losing interest in?

We've lost Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Sara Baartman, Troy Davis, and Trayvon Martin. All were crimes against black people that didn't do anything wrong, but were executed "just because." When do we stand up for our rights? When do we create a world that helps us survive?

Q: What will your next poem be about?

A: My next poem will be showing a connection between past injustices with present wrongs that have been created from the past. I want to open people's eyes to these issues and see if we can create our own community. Thank you for your question.
