Downtown Records, the independent label behind 2006's album of the year, 5 time-nominated Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere, is proud to present Kevin Michael. Kevin is a 22 year old vocal prodigy from Philadelphia with an incredible voice and persona. His influences include Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson and Prince. Kevin was featured on The Roots recent greatest hits album, Home Grown! The Beginner's Guide to Understanding the Roots. Kevin has a unique voice and style all his own. Like Gnarls Barkley, Kevin's music has a broad-based appeal to the urban and pop communities - to fans of D'Angelo, Justin Timberlake, Akon, Black Eyed Peas, Jon Legend and Usher alike. The album features top urban producers including Wyclef Jean (Fugees, Shakira), JR (Dr. Dre), The Clutch (Usher), Brian Kidd (T.I., Nappy Roots), Shea Taylor (Ne-Yo, Jay-Z), L-Rock (Lil John, Mariah Carey) and Bloodshy (Madonna, Britney Spears). Kevin Michael's debut album will be available Summer 2007 on Downtown/Atlantic records.
