Bio

Kelly's first album "Sacred Space", which was self-released in 2007, is edified by compelling stories of love, hope, and all that's in-between. Her original music is a skillful blend of acoustic/folk, indie, and rhythmic, with an original organic, raw style. A true songsmith, her sound blends with Joni, Alanis, and Ani with a twist of Tori... truly a uniqueness all her own. She is working hard on her second body of work, creating a tapestry for the world to embrace with its own unique color of expression.

Kelly Feeley puts out an incredible voice with a hint of sensitivity in her music dabbling on the border of authentic folk with flare... listening to her music reminds me of sitting next to a warm fire all bundled and enjoying the scent of hint of smoke in the air on a perfect fall night gathered with loved ones including a carafe of burgundy in hand.

About

Last night, at Studio Bee, our own CNA Kelly Feeley wowed an audience with a voice and musicality that apparently sold out her CDs afterwards.

The Gazette, in promoting Kelly’s appearance, described her voice as “authentic folks with flair.” Those of us PPH folks who went to check her out were struck by a power, versatility and resonance in her singing that belies her almost meek presence at work here.

Kelly’s songs are sometimes a journey in almost prose and tone-poetry, with changes in rhythm, meter and dynamics that actually manifest the meaning of her lyrics in sound. Beyond her vocal talent, Kelly’s creative use of the guitar itself was really impressive to me. Her willingness to drop-tune or alternatively tune her guitar instantly, song by song, her use of multiple capos and different picks to alter the tonality and timbre of her instrument to manifest the mood of her creations was original and inspiring.

With all that’s going on in hospice, Kellys song about “change” really would resonate with a lot of us, both validating how hard it is, and yet emphasizing how inevitable and important it is

We’re glad you still keep your day job, Kelly, but who knows where your talent as a “bard” will take you!
