About
Upbeat, heavy flowing, and emotional. This is how one would describe the unique sound of Boise natives "Keeping Secrets." Formed in March 2005, they've managed to create a new sound by bringing their wide range of musical influences together. Determined to make a name for themselves, they worked quickly to write and perfect their songs. Within three months the band recorded a three song demo showcasing their diverse style. Four short months later, their determination and strong work ethic had proven to pay off by allowing them to open for such acts as; From Autumn to Ashes, Armor for Sleep, A Fall Farewell, MXPX, The Presidents of the United States of America, Vendetta Red, Art of Dying, Alesana, Kane Hodder and On Broken Wings. In December of 05' "Keeping Secrets" embarked on their first tour of the North West, and again in March of 06' when they hit up the West coast. "Keeping Secrets" most gratifying experiences to date have been winning the 15th annual Boise Battle of the Bands, and being selected to play X-fest, a musical festival sponsored by 100.3 the X (a local radio station)both of which were won by popular vote. With this win came $1000, a free full length album recording, and recognition from newspapers, The Boise Weekly , Idaho Press Tribune, and Thrive. What separates them from other bands are their unique personalities presented through their stage presence. This band should not be confined to a CD playertheir live shows are intense and not to be missed. Recently "Keeping Secrets" has relocated to Thousand Oaks, California where they are striving to obtain an open and dedicated fan-base, not only locally, but internationally as well.
