“I remember when I saw both live versions of “In Their Eyes” on YouTube (the first with Phoenix Flames and Biting Saints frontman Angel Imanuel; and the second with Phoenix Flames and the whole Biting Saints band) and thought the chorus made the song for me: “I cannot lie when I look in their eyes, their eyes, their eyes. Until I touch the sky I know that I’m gonna survive.” I’m not one that’s into the rap/hip hip Underground much (which is ironic because I was on an Underground rap/hip hop radio show as a reoccurring personality for almost two and a half years), but I can say that some of Phoenix Flames tracks on ReverbNation are some that can go on my iPod. It’s something about Phoenix Flames that doesn’t scream “wannabee” or “nonsense” like many of the other Underground rappers that I used to hear on Internet Radio radio (and still do hear on Internet radio). ”
