Bio
From the moment her fingers touched the piano keys when she was very little, Sherezz became in love with music. An exaggeration, possibly, but by the age of seven, she was already composing tunes but was shy about letting anyone hear them. At the age of 14, she started recording her music as midi files using her Yamaha synthesizer. At the age of 17, she learned to use audio production software and it was from then that her passion for music got stronger. At the age of 18, Kat Hennessy was born and since she began, she has continued to work on developing her skills and techniques; exploring new sounds and genres. Her only wish is that people would fall in love with her music as much as she has herself.
About
Kat Hennessy prefers to have an original sound, combining downtempo and other genres in a way you’ve probably never heard before. She’s new, unsigned and independent, and probably a ‘breath of fresh air’ in an industry where everyone might quite all sound the same in some way.
Kat Hennessy, born Sherezz 'Rezzi' Grant, grew up in Trinidad and Tobago. Born to a noteworthy composer, Christophe Grant, and a mother with poetic talent, she recognizes them as the means by which she acquired her talent and passion for music. She is currently in university and produces music on the side but hopes to be able to turn that side project into a successful career.
