KAMAL SABRAN IS AN ARTIST, DESIGNER AND RESEARCHER. HIS WORK STANDS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ART, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY WHERE HE LOOKS INTO THE INTER-DISCIPLINARY APPROACH IN FINDING NEW CONCEPT OF CREATIVE JOURNEY. HIS PAINTING, VIDEOS, INTERACTIVE, SOUNDWORKS AND INSTALLATIONS HAVE BEEN SHOWN AT ART SPACES AND FESTIVALS INTERNATIONALLY. THROUGH YEARS OF CREATIVE EXPLORATION HE HAS COLLABORATED WITH MANY ARTIST, DESIGNER, RESEARCHER AND SCIENTIST.
HE IS THE FOUNDER OF A GROUP KNOWN AS “ELECTROPRIMITIVE”, PERFORMING A COMBINATION OF ELECTRONIC-ACOUSTIC INSTRUMENTS, SOUND POETRY, EXPERIMENTAL-IMPROVISED MUSIC AND MEDIA ART.
HE RECEIVED ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE OF NATIONAL SPACE AGENCY MALAYSIA 2005-2006 AND HAVE WON A YOUNG & CONTEMPORARY NEW MEDIA ARTIST FROM NATIONAL ART GALLERY MALAYSIA 2004, NOKIA MALAYSIAN GRAND PRIZE WINNER FOR BEST MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR KL 2007, ASEAN NEW MEDIA AWARD HELD IN NATIONAL ART GALLERY JAKARTA 2007 AND PARTICIPATED IN MINI SUMMIT OF NEW MEDIA ART POLICY & PRACTICE ORGANIZED BY ASIA-EUROPE FOUNDATION, IFACCA AND ISEA IN SINGAPORE 2008.
HE IS NOW PHD CANDIDATE FOR ACADEMIC FELLOWSHIP OF UNIVERSITY SCIENCE MALAYSIA.

1) Antonio Mainenti (Italy)
(b. 1978, Sicily, Italy) is a singer, musician, composer and instrument builder. His first sound experiences, when he’s five years old, are made with a red and black Phonola tape recorder: he records sounds of environment, unusual bawls, rattles and improvisations. The tapes have gone lost. He’s ten years old when he starts studying guitar and music theory. During his teen years he begins his first musical experiences in rock, folk and improvised music.

i am a voice artist, started out as folk singer then jazz and then a university degree in vocal performance, with a specialty in contemporary music. I create site specific work and I enjoy collaborations.
6) Mohd Zulkifli Ramli (Malaysia)
He is a Gambus (Oud) player in a traditional /Malay folk ensemble, Dewangga Sakti. Prior to forming Dewangga Sakti, he was a guitarist /propagandist for a now defunct death metal band, Cryptic Malediction and has released a couple of death metal records (a demo, an EP and an album).
He learned the art of gambus under the tutelage of Raja Gambus Malaysia, Fadzil Ahmad.
Dewangga Sakti has released an EP called Mabok Kepayang in June 2008 and currently working on full album scheduled to be recorded in 2009. Apart from performing at formal and non-formal functions, the band also involved with Tourism
For this track, he is using a Turkish oud. The Oud track was recorded at a studio in KL (August 2007) and originally intended for a documentary (which he helped to produce the music).

His favourite performing "tools" are mostly using mobile gadgets. Jazmi's sound can be describe as lots of oscillator wave with malay classic rhythm. He loves to experiment sound art and technology during his free time.
