““On drums – in the setting he loves the most –Dennis is generating thunder and playing his heart out as if he were hitting the skins for the first time, singing, swishing, pounding and tapping with the grace of Ian Paice in his veins.””

“KAKTOOZ is undoubtedly the hardest rock band in the country. The group has endured Bahrain's competitive music scence and have garnered a large following not only with their kabayans but with other nationalities as well, proving that the brand and quality of music they deliver defies cultural boundaries.”

Gulf Daily News

“Fresh from a record five contract run at Bahrain’s Gulf Hotel, Kaktooz is taking Wanchai by storm. Lead singer and former beauty queen, Sophia Valdez, brings a fresh and vibrant style to the Amazonia stage, performing a surprisingly versatile repertoire of popular hits that include rock, reggae, SKA, funk, country, Latin, pop and new wave. Kaktooz where the only Filipino band to make it to the Grand Finals of Budweiser’s Battle of the Bands in Bahrain 2006 and to record and release an album there at the same time. The Bahrian album, Enigma Days produced by Budwieser adnd Ramee Productions in 2006, was their third album. The other two were Kaktooz for Ivory Records in 2002 and Loving You, produced by XAX Music in 2003. Kaktooz have also performed in Singapore and the Maldives before joining Bar Amazonia in May of 2009.”

“Jephthah E. Wenceslao, lead guitarist of Kaktooz, performs a trademark burning guitar act during the 2009 Concert in the Park in the Piazza of the HK Cultural Center, Kowloon on 22 November 2009. Mr. Wenceslao once performed as a guitarist for BLACK EYED PEA’s Apol during the band’s Philippine Concert Tour with Slapshock.”

“An hour past midnight, the stage and a guitar are set on fire and the feline crowd is louder and jumping up and down in a wild dance and they don't stop till it's five in the morning. It's the Kaktooz trance, feral and humid and high octane. Outside, it's six degrees Celsius, but there's no winter in Hong Kong. Not when Kaktooz is playing.”
