This is great news as "Two Sides To Every Story" is one of the rarest Gene Clark albums to find on CD, or at all for that matter. This will be the first time it has been released on CD in almost 20 years!!! There will be a launch party on April 29th at the Roxy theatre in Los Angeles where I will be performing the album in its entirety with my band and also other Gene Clark gems. “On April 29, High Moon Records will celebrate its label launch and upcoming release of Love's 1973 Black Beauty and Love's 1977 Two Sides To Every Story with a one-time-only concert at the Roxy in Los Angeles. During the concert, Clark's son Kai Clark and the Kai Clark Band will perform Two Sides in its entirety and a full set of Gene Clark songs, and the surviving members of the Love Black Beauty Band will perform never-before-heard live versions of songs from Arthur Lee's lost masterpiece Black Beauty. Special surprise guests will perform throughout the night and include the surviving members of the Gene Clark Group (Chip Douglas, Joel Larson and Bill Rinehart) who will reunite for the first time in over 40 years and be joined by Kai Clark, Tim Bluhm of The Mother Hips, Stephen Ehret of Wildflower and famed rock photographer Henry Diltz of Modern Folk Quartet. When one hears Kai Clark's music there is a familiar spark to his songs that is instantly recognizable. One might say that growing up with Gene Clark of The Byrds as his father that Kai Clark has been influenced by one of the most creative and unique song writers the world has ever known. Some parts of Kai's musical heritage are obvious. The sound is something familiar, but also a vessel of its own creation. Kai's music can be decribed as americana root's & alternative Country. Kai finished his debut cd in spring of 2010 and is working hard with his band to book and perform at venues in the U.S.A. Kai Clark's music has been featured on numerous radio shows across the country and his band has performed at several music festival's. Kai Clark and his band take pride in being professional musicians, bringing with them a high degree of integrity, honesty, and dedication to every show and public appearance!
