Q: hello hello! Are you all still playing? And do you have any live shows on the approach?
A: As a project, Kabarett is still active. Because of the private lives of the four band members (and I use that term loosely; we're more a collective of recording artists, some of which have other projects, a la Jezy Park in Jessica Seven), we have been indisposed for a while now. Twiggins and I are certainly still writing, and the music is taking exciting new turns; lots of new material is being written, and recording complications aside, we're nearing the final stages on our first album, Burn The World. Living in an apartment makes vocals a little difficult... As for the live shows, there are extensive plans and anticipation for live performances, both among the band and our local following. When those plans are able to be realized remains to be seen. Personally, I'm bloodthirsty for some stage time, and have been for a while, so that is certainly an important step on my list. Kabarett is still in infancy, and is having to be kept in a balance with the rest of our lives, but it's definitely still a major priority, and we'll continue to work on it to whatever degree we're able to, until such a time (hopefully very soon) as we can invest more time and effort into it. Logging on to here and seeing people responding positively to music that I consider fledgling attempts is inspiring, and I thank you for that. Look for more Kabarett soon. :) - Abel
