JR Bareis / Press

“Do you know how many people would kill to be in your position?”

“17 yr old J.R. discusses how he became a member of the band and also talks about the album and their recent tour of Brazil.”

“I had the chance to catch up with Brian Welch and JR Bareis for the latest on things to come.”

“For a 17-year old you seem pretty adept at creating some unique guitar tones.”

“Bareis, 17, is the youngest member of the band, but age is only just a number to him. The key word is “ability.” Bareis possesses tons of it.”

“Love and Death lead guitarist JR Bareis on his Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier and PRS guitars”

“Do you remember when you were 17? Are you even 17 yet? I certainly remember. It was 1994, the year I graduated high school, and I became consumed completely by music while looking into the great unknown. I didn’t care—I was partying with girls, doing things I probably wasn’t supposed to be doing, and it was one of the best years of my life. But there’s no way it was anywhere near as good or memorable as JR Bareis’ 17th, who is spending the year and foreseeable future playing alongside Brian “Head” Welch, the former guitarist of Korn who recently rebranded his solo band, Love and Death.”

“A prodigy of sorts, he makes other guitarists twice his age pale in comparison.”
