Bio
JourneySong is a Christian ensemble--think gifted vocalists and a sizzling band. Its energetic music spans genres traditional and contemporary gospel with influences of jazz, Latin, classical and soul nouveau.
The founder, Dr. Willetta Greene-Johnson, Grammy-award winning composer and arranger, is also a professor of physics at Loyola University. A classically trained songwriter, she has arranged for Mary Mary, Marvin Sapps, Yolanda Adams and many others. Donnie McClurkin once called her ’one of the most prolific up and coming song-writers and arrangers’.
Her dynamic vocal ensemble JourneySong will perform at Today’s Black Women’s Expo (Chicago) in August. Information and booking requests may be found here and at strategicmusic.biz.

JourneySong's story begins with Grammy award song-writer Dr. Willetta Greene-Johnson, the musical director of the group. She's not your typical music type.
Dr. Greene Johnson is a physicist who holds a joint appointment in both chemistry and physics at Loyola University Chicago. A Master Teacher at the university, her classes are consistently among the most sought and always in demand. Dr. Greene-Johnson also facilitates choral workshops through-out the United States and abroad.
BUT---
Dr. Greene-Johnson is also a producer, orchestrator, and phenomenal songwriter. One of her most acclaimed songs, Saved, is featured on 2 tracks on the 2005 Grammy award winning CD project, Live: This Is Your House (The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Word Entertainment).
An arranger with keen insight, Dr. Greene-Johnson has arranged for such artists as Yolanda Adams, Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Sapp and Mary Mary. She founded the ministry ensemble JourneySong, which is an urban worship ministry and training ensemble for psalmists and musicians. JourneySong's previous CD Adore has received air-play in several markets throughout the U.S.
