About Jota
My Name is Jesse, I was born in the Bronx and grew up in both New York and Puerto Rico. I started listening music around when i was 12 years old from rock to Latin hip hop. Then there was one time in Puerto Rico (Reggaeton wasn't being played in the US at the time) my cousin was playing Xtassy Reggae in his car and since then I grew familiar to the sound of reggaeton. As time passed i would listen to reggaeton cds and make little dumb rhymes, I was inspired to write my first reggaeton song when my friend Giovanni Lebron (Jovi) read a song I made just messing' around, and told me it was good. As time passed, I kept writing more music and got more and more into the reggaeton genera . That being the case I wanted to get serious and fashioned myself a new name: JOTA. In 2005, I started writing, composing and producing my own music. By 2006 I my first few televised performances: "La Nueva Ola" and "El Diamante Show." It was in La Nueva Ola where I met L.A.V and Fewcha. We became good friends and great inspirations to each other, collaborating and accompanying each other for performances in the local New York area. As time progressed I started working on my first mixtape as a solo underground artist, entitled: "La Cara Nueva" mixtape vol.1. Anything else you want to know just hit me up. [Private Message]. About Rankea'o Productions
In late 2006, I started Rankea'o Productions as a vision. Rankea'o Productions was made cause i realized thats if I made a project studio I wouldn't have to be running around going to other studios. It all started with a Samson USB condenser microphone. As time passed I started reading and learning about audio productions, mixing, and mastering. Little by little getting the equipment I needed to start a project studio from the microphone to the booth and atmosphere, that would give high quality at a low cost for underground recording artist.
