Josh Grider

With a new album slated for an August 2007 release, Josh Grider will soon be back on the full band circuit. For now, he is enjoying the intimacy, ambiance, and liberation of the acoustic show.  According to Josh, "It is really exciting to step on a stage all alone.  You have your guitar, your voice, and the songs.  You bear your soul every night, and there is nothing to hide behind.  You can be nothing but yourself in that sort of situation."

Born and raised in Las Cruces, NM, Josh was surrounded by music from the start.  With his father's record collection serving as headmaster in the school of county music, and his mother urging him to sing in the church and in school, there is no question as to the reasons that Josh does what he does.  His sound is one part raw traditional country, one part jam band funky, and all parts innovative.  Teaming up with revered songwriter and performer Walt Wilkins, and Walt's partner Tim Lorsch, Josh is currently in the process of putting together his second album, tentatively entitled “Million Miles to Go.” With subject matter ranging from love gone right and hearts gone wrong, to the seemingly endless struggle with addiction, and the freedom of life on the road, all indications are that folks will be in for a real treat.

The acoustic shows are not to be missed. On any given night a listener will hear previews of the new album, tried-and-true gems from the first album, and any cover from Stevie Wonder, to Roger Miller, and all points in between. If fortune smiles on a lucky listener, Josh can be seen on stage with Kristi, his extremely talented, and beautiful wife, singing a few herself. One would be hard pressed to find a truer voice than Josh's. His deep American baritone that leaps effortlessly from the heartfelt ballad to the gregarious anthem of the young-at-heart is a commodity that Josh brings to the table for all to partake. His songs are genuine, his talent unwavering, and his show is not one to miss.
