What is it that makes an artist or an act a success? Is it the beats that keep us bobbing our heads, or the lyrics that make us pay attention to the story of a song, or is it maybe their image? What ever it is, or collections of all three, Jon Young and J. Cash definitely have it going on.

Jon Young and J. Cash were both born in the 80s and met each other freshman year in high school in Orlando, Florida. Sharing a love for both rap music and custom cars, the two hit it off immediately and began writing and making music just as something fun to do on the weekend. The two never would have guessed it would bring them to where they are today. They used their years of making songs prior to now as practice, learning what works and what doesn't work in the music industry, and in 2006 they struck gold with Jon Young's underground indie smash single (and album) titled "City I Luv."

Not only was the CD a hit among their growing fan base, but it also caught the eye of several labels including Atlantic Records, Warner Music, and MySpace Records. Even while their CDs "Slept On" and "City I Luv" sell steadily over the internet, the two are working on finishing their follow-up digitally distributed debut CD as well as looking forward to producing and writing for other major artists in the near future. The release will feature singles such as "Post Up," "City on my Fitted," "Just Chill" and "Spoken For." With around 30,000 listens a DAY collectively on their MySpace page there is no doubt there is a massive fan base for this talented Duo and when Jon Young and J. Cash find their way in to the main stream it then becomes all about "Sky Skrapin" because Sky's the limit for these two.
