To my Senior I gave no apologies
All momma left were homemade cookies

A while back, I thought my life was boring
I was a sleeping and I was a snoring
I decided that I wanted some more
Then I decided to join the Corps

Saying goodbye to a lot of things
I then made off like an angels wings
Making good time and not looking back
It's about to get real and out of whack

When our plane had landed a DI was there
We didn't know it but we were in for a scare
There was tension. There was suspension.
We were standing at the position of attention

It was at the USO where there were treats
I never got the chance to get my eats
All I got were the big ol' willies
I didn't get the chance to grab any cookies

When the bus had arrived we were ordered in
Our finest moment was about to begin
Our heads were down with no hints
Then outside on the yellow footprints

All of boot camp was a living hell
Twenty-four seven we had to yell
Everyday we look in the sky
We see all them planes are passing by

Well I got PFC for going to college
I was dirty but I had some knowledge
Being dirty though just wouldn't last
I didn't have pull-ups but I was fast

When chow time came we moved with haste
We did not dare let food go to waste
If I was quick and the Senior didn't see me
I would always grab me a homemade cookie

Half of the time I'd succeed
Half of the time I'd get IT'd
I was getting hated a lot.
Man! This place was tougher than I thought

When I got haircuts I lost all fear
Then the barber scarred my ear
He yanked my head and yelled DON'T MOVE!
I said AYE AYE SIR! With nothing to prove

Well there were two recruits that wanted to quit
But with the SDI that just wouldn't sit
I was the one that wanted to stay
My SDI tried to send me away

I always put out and did my best
I was tried and put to the test
Coming up next has some irony
Man I need me a homemade cookie

I then jacked up on the BC inspection
The rest of the time I felt rejection
All along my Senior was PISSED
His only wish was that I didn't enlist

Well I was up and I was gay
Because coming on up was Family day
I hugged my father and kissed my mother
I ate protein bars one after another

I had some pizza and I had some sprite
My mom and dad had quite a fright
They begged on and on to please slow down
But I kept my pace and went to town

After that I had some steaks
With no stops and with no breaks
I had myself a nice funnel cake
Then I developed a tummy ache

After graduation we got on the plane
I was no longer feeling insane
To my Senior I gave no apologies
All momma left were homemade cookies
