John Zito and Electric Church consists of John Zito on lead guitar, slide, dobro, and vocals, Chris Trusty on bass, vocals and harmonica, and Taylor Kelley on drums, percussion and vocals. This is a real power trio in the tradition of Cream and The Jimi Hendrix Experience, with a raw feel of Robin Trower. After Zito reunited with Taylor Kelley an accomplished drummer from LA, the congregation emerged. John Zito's gritty vocals, along with slide and dobro guitars give the band its unique sound with the virtuosity of Chris Trusty, the Kentucky born bass player, has the knack of bringing in the southern twang along with Taylor’s edgy groove. This killer combination seals the solid backbone of the trio, and gives them a dirty, soulful vibe.
