JWU is a band that embraces being the odd man out and dealing with loss. In the spirit of rolling with the punches and fighting the good fight. High-Energy fun music with inspirational well thought out lyrics. The band plans on making some history.

Originally from Pembroke, Ontario and now hailing from Toronto, Ontario Johnny Went Under is the perfect blend of fast melodic punk with an emo edge. The band underwent a line up change in 2006 and is finally starting to make some major headway. Front man Joey Caughey has been writing music for the last 10 years and has blended an amazing, fast, emotional, and unique style that has really come to fruition -- and with the help and talent of drummer Owen Wright of "The Ninth Line" fame the group has really created a great flow and dynamic.

With the collaboration of Independent Producer Jamie Matsukubo at MatchVox Studios the band released their power punk 7 song debut EP in March 2008 entitled "Hope" and are currently in the studio recording their full length self titled CD. The band has added another guitarist and vocalist in to the mix for the next coming release. Mr. Sullivan has added another great dynamic to the band.  Haha Mr.
