Hello, my name is Jo Ann Gray.  I am a free-spirited woman who marches to the beat of my own drummer. 

My writing centers around life circumstances, sex and love.  I am on a mission to spread love across the world. I am not afraid to push limits in the exploration of sensuality, sexuality or love. 

I write and perform "Joetry".  So, what is "Joetry"?

Simply put...the term derives from merging my first name with the word: poetry. 

Jo Ann Gray is the artist. “
Joetry” is the mode of expression.

Therefore, I define "Joetry" as spoken word with an R&B twist.   You feel me?  I believe that spoken word can bang too, and should be appreciated as a mainstream art form to be available and appreciated by all.

When I embarked upon this project my idea was to create relationship music by writing sentiments that women would appreciate being spoken and that men could take to heart.  I believed there was a shortage of positive and loving relationship music, so I set out to fill that void, and I believe I've accomplished that.

Many of the truly loving and sexy ballads were written and performed by men that spoke to women.  So, I decided that “Joetry” would speak of love and loving relationships from a female perspective to men.
 
“Joetry” is designed to stimulate moods that set the tone for love.

I write, arrange and recite each “joem” to original music created by awesome producers.  My goal is to send out good vibrations that make people feel good and happy about being in love and being alive.
