“On November 14th, 2013 Illinois female fronted heavy-rock band Icon For Hire made their way to the MOD Club in Toronto for an awesome party. The band was supported by locals, J’Nai who made for a perfect pair as the theme of the night became rocking out to powerful female vox!”

“All three of us "Geeks" are in total agreement when it comes to the next band, J'nai and just cannot say enough good things about them. We have all seen these mostly University age kids perform on several occasions and they absolutely rock every time! Jeanette Ricasio (vocals) is described by Kate as a little spitfire, being a tiny girl who has the most enormous stage presence ever! A statement that has never been truer and Wally and I 100% agree although I swear she's going to hurt herself one of these days with her outrageous dance moves!”

“The very next night UFO were again in town, this time at the newly opened sister venue Rockpile East in Scarborough with local Toronto sensation J'nai setting the stage this time. If you have not seen this band of university aged youths then you're seriously missing out! They have a stage chemistry and show filled with well choreographed moves as a backdrop to their expertly crafted compositions that compares to very few. Taking up a position stage side right (if you're facing it), the dry ice smoke machines billowed out their foggy product enveloping the stage. A cover of Rainbow's "Kill The King" led the audio visual barrage followed by Heart's "Barracuda" of which they do an excellent rendition.”

“J'Nai is derived from the phrase "Je Ne Sais Quoi" (something that cannot be adequately described or expressed) and the name of the singer in question here, a visually dynamic singer/songwriter with influences ranging Paramore, Evanescence and The Pretty Reckless through to Heart.”
