Bio

J.J. Vicars tore outta the Sci-Fi Diner in a '59 Cadillac with mounted steerhorns and backward flames, his trusty six-string peeling off greasy slabs of barbecued Blues, hard driving Boogie and hot rod Rock'n'Roll.

For nearly two decades he's been burning up stages throughout the U.S. and overseas. After getting his start in Houston he traveled to Japan for an extended engagement before settling in Ohio for a spell including a stint on bass with his father's Jump Blues outfit. Returning to Texas he parked out in Austin and lent his guitar stylings to local Blues and Rock bands prior to cutting his solo debut. After quick jaunts through Phoenix,AZ then Las Vegas he was in Japan again recording and releasing his back catalogue of songs while working on new material.

His current discography consists of SCI-FI DINER ~ the rockin' Blues debut recorded in Austin,Texas; HI-TECH HILLBILLY ~ a one-man romp through blazing rockers, elegaic ballads and Jazz/Funk workouts; and HEARTLAND ~ a poetic collection of Americana rockers written in the fertile lands of Indiana. His upcoming disc LONG WAY FROM HOME is a smoking platter of hard drivin' Blues,Boogie, & Rock 'n' Roll featuring material from his live shows. Demos and live recordings of many of these forthcoming gems can be found on his website as downloadable MP3s.
