Come Out of the Rain

She was young only sweet 16
She ran away a second time
She met a man who promised her the world
But in exchange he stole her mind
The ground was wet cover by the dew
She sat on a blanket on the ground
I said to her is there anything I can do
I would like to help you out

She talked about the life she left behind
Stolen days and painful nights
In a world where innocence is lost
Living as a grown up now

Come out of the rain today and truly God will heal

Come out of the rain and gain salvation in the Lord
Come out of the rain and let the sunshine in

Now I can see your hurt identify with your pain
It’s time for you to come out of the rain
She gave her life to Jesus Christ that night
I found a home where she could stay
She’s married now and has a little girl
She came to see us yesterday
Now Jesus has a plan his love remains the same
So help someone to come out of the rain
