About
Jill Marie is a singer/songwriter who got her start playing in Southern California where she was born and raised.
She is a dynamic songstress who's folk/rock/pop/blues/acoustic songs focus on poetry first, although she is a first rate soul singer. Songs such as "Give Another Try", "What's Really You" and "Show Me" show Jill's great hooks and melodies while the lyrics still mean way more than those songs you're tired of hearing on the radio. Song's such as "Houdini" and "Welcome the Night" show Jill Marie's artistic songwriting style incorporating more jazz, blues and even swing elements that she learned in her musical training and musical journey that she has continued on now for more than 15 years.
Jill is a Nationally known artist performing over 150 shows each year as one half of the soul singing duo "TROUBADUO" (www.Troubaduo.com). Her partner/companion Bryson VanCleve makes up the other half of Troubaduo and writes all styles like Jill including folk, rock, blues, Americana and acoustic.
Touring 9 months out of the year, Troubaduo is one of the few true independent artists in the world today making a full time living with their music without help of a booking agency, management company, p.r., major record label, etc.
