Singer-songwriter Jennifer Leonhardt, based in Austin now after several years of touring solo and band shows, released her debut studio album Gods & Nations (Grassroots 2007), a Paste Recommends Indie Album in April/May 2008. Her music has been included on a variety of samplers from Pop Culture Press, Texas Music Magazine and A Taste of Triple A; the cut "Gentlemen's Bet" was out on Atlanta label ShutEye Records' United State of Americana Volumn 4 compilation with tracks by Bobby Bare and BR5-49. Last summer, her song "Homeland" was listed in the Top 20 Americana Songs of 2008 by KRVM in Eugene OR. Minstrel's Daughter (Waterbug 2009), an album deidicated to her family's musical influence and recorded at the kitchen table in Austin, was released in July.
