JD & the Shenandoahs features the familiar electric instrumentation and blues influences of Stevie Ray Vaughan and CCR mixed with the well articulated and extensive vamping of Pearl Django and Les Paul with a lot of minor key tonalities, subtle vocal harmonies, and some great catchy-but-not-kitschy call-and-response melodies.
