Born and raised in north Alabama, the earlier Muscle Shoals players influenced and shaped singer / songwriter, Jason “J. Curly” Speegle’s, unique sound and style as a Roots Rock artist. J. Curly’s extensive touring career includes his role as lead guitarist and vocalist for Leon Russell for several years. He has also lent his talents to Taylor Hicks, Adam Hood, Damon Johnson, and O’teil Burbridge. The J. Curly Band’s self-titled album, now available on SF1 Music, debuted in the Top 50 of the national Roots Music Chart in its first week of release.
