Bio
Various styles of music brought together electronically. Big beats, bad-ass basses.
Have been producing analog/digital audio since 2001; played piano, guitar, tenor sax, bass, drums, and cello since I was young. I would love to somehow integrate Reason with a live performance.
About
Justin, aka Jay Dee Queue, was born and raised in various towns on the south shore of Massachusetts. After haphazardly requesting it, Justin received his first CD at age three: "Rat in the Kitchen" by UB40. It was love at first "hear", so to speak: this CD left a huge impression on him, inspiring a life-long love of reggae and music in general. At age eleven, he moved with his mother and step-father to Orange County, California, a move that would to some extent shape his multi-cultural approach towards his environment. After moving to Seattle in 2001, Justin experienced and explored the world via electronic music for the first time. After watching countless DJs spin at electronica dens such as NAF, Justin began to toy with making the kind of beats that he wanted to hear. He currently resides in San Clemente, CA, where he continues on his quest for musical contentedness. After years of working almost exclusively with Propellerheads Reason, he has finally learned to output the sounds and ideas that tickle his own "music receptors". The listener will find a strong reggae influence, specifically lovers rock and dub, with overtones of drum and bass, hip hop, blues, jazz, funk, and house. Though he is contented in and of itself by the practice of making music, he hopes that others may find some reflection of their own experiences in his vibes and words.
