Join us on December 28, 2013 for our first ever meet and greet start up event. We are in the process of establishing non profit status in Pennsylvania so we are hosting our first benefit concert! Come out for a night of good music, tasty cookies and of course to raise awareness for childhood cancer!
Robert Lloyd Peeples - Solo acoustic show with special guests. New single on its way out just before the show! Super excited to see my friend Jim at The Winchester again!
Join us for a night of great music and help up us in our quest to raise money for Rick Fuller, a long time member of the local music community. Rick badly needs surgery to remove a intracranial and spinal (epidural) abscess which is causing inflammation that is creating pressure that will permanently damage his nervous system if left untreated. Rick Fuller is one of Akron's most renowned sound engineers and has been a staple in the music community for over 10 years. Rick's passion and love for music is clearly evident in every show he does. He has worked with hundreds of bands over the years including Rachel Roberts, Brian Vander Ark (of the Verve Pipe), Red Wanting Blue, Dog Fashion Disco, Kaligo, Ryan Dunne's Clubwrecker Tour, and Stroke 9 to name a few. If you have been in a band and played live over the last 10+ years in the Cleveland/Akron area then you've probably worked with or at the very least crossed paths with Rick the Sound Guy! We are also planning a 50/50 raffle and will be accepting additional donations during the show. All proceeds from tickets sales will also be donated. Lastly, Jay Patrick Boland will be recording his set, and will be donating 50% of the profit from album sales to help with the costs of Rick's surgery. So please come out and help lend your support to "Rick the Sound Guy!" Ticket Prices: Pre-sale $6.00 Day of Show $8.00 Additional $2.00 if under 21.

“Watching a video about a 5-year-old Pennsylvania girl who died from cancer made Jay Boland ’98 cry. It also sparked him to put together a fundraising concert to help raise awareness of childhood cancer. He did so with the help of his JCU roommate, Arthur Mroczek ’98, the national marketing director for Live Nation Los Angeles. The video Boland viewed was about Gabriella Vogel, who died from a rare form of brain cancer in September 2011. Her parents, John and Carolynn Vogel, formed The Get Well Gabby Foundation in her honor and memory. The nonprofit organization’s mission is to fund research and raise awareness for childhood cancer and assist families that have been given such devastating news.”
