Bio
Jason Tom (譚志豪) is Honolulu, Hawaiʻi's hoppin' happenin' human beat box. (The beat box is also known as a "drum machine.") Based in Chinatown, he is a frequent live performer/entertainer within the underground poetry slam, performance, music, and art circles (i.e. First Thursdays HawaiiSlam and First Fridays at the Ong King Art Center). He creatively expresses his instrumental "voice" with Michael Jackson-infused vocal emulations of a drum machine, percussion, drum kit, acoustic bass, and turntable. He feels grateful to be used in this way by the Heavenly Father, to whom he gives all credit.
About
Up next he will make an appearance at 2009 ISA (International Secret Agents) Concert at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco on March 20th. Then he will open up for comic Rex Navarrete at Dole Ballrooms in Honolulu on April 11th.
