He powered her forward on his simple hung note
But to her it was bright blue air, and she began to float

Sa synchronicité l'a fait flotter



She parted the waves of the rolling clouds

She whetted the fingertips of time

She dried the last tears of a moon too concave

She welded the stars to a sun, and they rhymed

She did all this without feeling a thing

Until he stroked her ruby rhythmic heart strings

Sa synchronicité fait battre son coeur


He played them so well and so sweet and so fine

That his synchronicity to her pulse made her almost blind

She breathed in her words thunderstruck
While silently she felt every small tear plucked

And with a tinge of wanting something less than a prize--
Uncharacteristic yet no surprise

She touched his face with a simple hung kiss
