Janice Gilbert / Press

“Wow! I had always known Janice Gilbert was a great songwriter, but it was a surprise to find out that she was also a great artist as well. I came to this page to listen to her version of the song, "Who Needs Your Name Anyway"...at the suggestion of her co-writer, another mutual friend of ours, Donna Aylor. Well, to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement....I was totally surprised to find this friend and writer that I had known for sometime....belting out songs that NOW made me go.....WOW!!..So, I listened to all of the songs and listened twice to, "I Love It When You Do That " and I loved that song...and I can now say....surprise me anytime, because I truly do....Love It When You Do That!!! AWESOME!!”

“Janice Gilbert’s CD, Bloom, highlights her songwriting skills - writing or co-writing all ten songs on the project. With an Americana style delivery, she interprets each song from her heart and surrounds those vocals with a solid sounding production. The stand out song is “Chase Me” which Janice co-wrote with Ava Rives and Shantel Adams. This CD should garner Janice some new fans.”

“Many times you hear people say, "It's all about the song." For Janice Gilbert that is the plain truth. It really is about the songs. Janice has written a collection of songs entitled, "Bloom." The title could not be more appropriate. She spreads her songwriting wings and her petals are wide open as she blooms. Every song is brimming with images and emotions. There is even some sass thrown in for good measure. Stand out tracks are, "Bloom" and "I Love it When You Do That." You don't just sing along, you feel along. Janice helps us feel love even in the midst of losing special places like the characters in the song, "It's Where We Are." This CD is a must order or download.”
