Jamison Bethea / Press

“Greensboro artist Jamison Bethea has been hard on the grind, but has taken some time out to release a single ahead of his upcoming album, Drum Breaks & Broken Strings. “The DJ Stole My Girl” is the first single released from Bethea’s first full length solo album scheduled for release Feb. 22nd 2014. Drum Breaks & Broken Strings has been a three year labor of love for the North Carolina native, who is working hard to find his musical voice. Bethea has such a rich musical background to draw from in his music. It makes it very difficult to pin down his “style” or “genre”. He is doing his own thing, and that’s just the way it should be. Music lovers should care less about trying to categorize music and more about seeking out quality music made by folks like Jamison. So… take a few minutes, check out “DJ Stole My Girl”, and keep an eye (or ear) out for more from Mr Bethea in the future…”

“Jamison Bethea- Where do I begin? Wit, dedication, proven talent. I’ve seen Jamison put out soulful work of his own that shows his versatility and refusal to be boxed in and then turn around and support a plethora of other artists’ work. My belief is that Greensboro’s music scene will grow and be a model for other cities because of how the people in this city work together to make shit happen. Jamison Bethea is a model of that collaborative spirit.”
