JAMES SPEER is a pianist and vocalist who has been playing in Austin for nearly 11 years.  He started out in Houston at age four playing the piano and was classically trained.  He moved to Austin in 1992 for college and started playing at Austin's famous Esther's Follies Comedy theater at age 19.  He performed there for 9 years and still makes appearances there.  Also since moving to Austin, James has appeared onstage with some of Texas' best and most well-known musicians including: Bob Schneider, Monte Montgomery, Little Joe, the Scabs, Vallejo, MC Overlord, and Joe Ely. James has toured the world playing music and has won awards for his songwriting and vocal talent.  In addition he has had songs featured on FX channel's "the Shield" and has released two albums.  James is taking the last part of 2009 to finish writing his next album.
