I have always loved music. I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church. My dad was a preacher and my mom was the pianist is church. I can remember going to church on Sunday morning and listening to Robby Heiner, the Cathedrals, Gold City and other great Gospel singers. As a result, I grew to love the harmonies and melodies of Gospel Music.

My high school choir teacher took me under her wing and taught me everything I know about putting myself and my emotion into my music. If it wasn't for her, I would not still be singing and writing music. She is now the head of music at Fresno State.

I started writing songs in college where I studied theory and piano.
