“Jacktown Road is Paved with Rhythmic Rock by Mz. Conduct When I ventured out to Dante's (after years of menopausal mayhem had glued me to the couch) I sure picked an amazing night to do so. Jacktown Road was playing to a crowd of almost a hundred folks.I sauntered in and ordered a bone dry martini and sat at a table front and center, thanks to some nice boys. I haven’t heard anything so good in a very long time. These four men, not boys trying to look like rock stars, are the real dang deal. A rock solid drummer, Todd Robinson (who I recognized as being in that pizza commercial where they sell a home baked pie instead of dealing with the disgusting delivery dude),holds down the fort for the band. Pat Boylan (who makes my loins throb) is the rhythm guitarist and background vocalist. Pat pulled out a theremin on their last song. It was incredible! Timothy Levine is the bad ass bass player and background vocalist, who I recognized from a scene in Leverage.He has a fun stage presence...”

Not that these guys aren’t extremely serious about the band, but they have fun doing it. It shows.Last,and certainly not least, because without James Mahone it’s clear he is the magical component to Jacktown Road. James has a voice that I can’t and won’t compare to anyone. He is the major songwriter, the lead guitarist (extraordinaire) and with his viva la vocals, just blew me straight away. James also has a stage presence which accentuates the band as a whole and also made something throb. Heart or loins, not sure but I remembered him as the drummer for M99 and the Obituaries back in the day. Jacktown Road’s music is mesmerizingly memorable. My head continuously plays “Continental Divide”, “Perriwinkle Blue”, “My Punk Rock Girl” and well, every song I’ve heard from their tight...”

“...and talented tongues. Jacktown Road played the following week at Ash Street Saloon and you can bet your bare bottoms I was there. I will be at every show they play… if humanly possible. The band is heading to the East coast next month. First stop, New York, where Monica Nelson (The Obituaries singer and beautiful petunia) has a new band which JTR will open for. From there, they have booked several other shows including the Court Tavern in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
