Bio

Coming from the industrial English midlands Jack Clancy is a songwriter from the mold that produced the likes of Lennon or Morrisey, with the same traces of melody, irreverent humor and every day observation in his songs.
His sound is in the main "alternative" but alongside guitars and drums other influences can be heard in his music from indian classical to folk and even experimental electronica.
His songs are primarily concerned with holding up a mirror to the world and showing the truth about the way we live.

My name is Jack Clancy and I live on a planet surrounded everywhere by endless space. Wow!

I was born and raised in a place called the United Kingdom, which by my estimation is anything but united! But I suppose the "Deeply Divided Queendom" doesn't have the same ring to it.

I like music with wit and melody and all that human stuff which is missing from most aspects of life - especially the vegetables in Sainsbury's - and I try to write songs that I would like to hear.

What have I been up to in my life? Well, I have been on the look out for absolutes but so far haven't found the BIG ONE. I have found some really nice smaller ones though - like:-

"Be careful of your thoughts - the aren't you!"

and

"Always tip generously"
