Jacco started playing the saxophone when he was 11 years old.
He studied music at the conservatory in Zwolle and had lessons from Henny Kluvers,
Rolf Delfos, Benjamin Herman and Carolyn Breuer.
In 1996 he graduated in Zwolle (as a teacher)and he continue his studies in Hilversum. He had lessons from Ferdinand Povel and Albert Beltman.
