Q: Hail and bless, king! Keep the iritical works blazing. How de I finds producing music in J'ca compared to in DC?
A: I truly give thanks for my experience of living and making music in Washington DC, the African influence is very strong in the local gogo music. The Congo Drum plays a large part along with call and response crowd interaction. I met many great musicians and learned so much from them. I believe Jamaica is the music Capital of the world, everywhere in Jamaica music is constantly being played and the peoples music IQ is the highest. The environment itself constantly sings, wind rustling in the trees, the sound of the river or waves of the sea, birds by day, insects by night. Life in Jamaica has a rhythm and the music is a reflection of this. Plus I've met so many legends like Bunny Wailer, Rita Marley, Family Man, Marcia Griffiths, actually had Bob Andy in my studio. I've worked with young stars like Kabaka Pyramid, Chronixx, Kelissa, Jah9, Hempress Sativa. I'm currently working with some of JA's best production teams like Natural High Music, Orange Hill Records, Multicast Ent. And we recently formed a Trio called N.R.G. (New Reggae Generation) with myself Rseenal Di Artillary and Makonnen Blake Hannah. My family in DC still play a large role in my music as my publishing is handled by Mighty Mizizi Music founded by Dejazmatch Kwasi Esq. So I give thanks for my life journey, and Ini will surely keep the works Blazing. Good question Empress Itrina Nuff Love Everytime
