“School songs: You could say that Irieside, which mixes hip-hop, reggae, rock and funk into its eclectic play list, also has a heavy Wildcat flavor. Four of the band's members graduated from El Camino High School, including Ben Blessing, class of 2005, son of Oceanside school board member Mike Blessing. Other band members with school ties are Arjay Pantig and Anthony Williams, class of 1997, and Alex Earl, class of 2005. Steve "Stevo" Stottlemeyer, class of 2006, also sits in on occasion. The group is the headliner March 3 at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach. Some of the band members will tune up at a show at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Royal Dive in Oceanside.”
