About

With the album reaching #10 on CMJ"s top 200 most added chart, In Flight Radio has already begun to receive recognition as an up and coming band. They are in regular rotation at college radio stations across the country as well as internet radio heard worldwide, including the popular WOXY.COM.  In addition, XM SATELLITE RADIO'S Unsigned Channel featured the songs "Come Back and Stay" and "Best Day of the Year" on The Futures - a show of the top twelve "artists to look for in your future as they're gaining momentum every day." CLEAR CHANNEL also added "Best Day of the Year" to the "Undiscovered" station in March 2006, and in August 2006 In Flight Radio had 2 songs featured on the DOMESTIC DISTURBANCE show on KROCK2.COM.  In October 2006, "Come Back and Stay" was featured on FUSE.TV, and the song also went to #2 on the most wanted list on ENGAGE RADIO.  As 2006 came to a close, both INDIE SOUNDS NY and RADIOFREETUNES.com listed In Flight Radio as one of their TOP 10 bands of the year.   In addition, SILENTUPROAR.com gave the IFR record 4.5 out of 5 stars.  With the intimacy of singer-songwriters like Beth Orton and Damien Rice, and the power and intensity of bands like Doves and Snow Patrol, In Flight Radio has a collection of unique and memorable songs that stay with you long after the last chord has faded away.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT IN FLIGHT RADIO:

"Great atmospheric rock...this is a band to know about for sure." Pete Harris, Harrisradio.com and Indie Sounds NY, October 2006

"A collection of accessibly melodic tunes." Time Out NY, October 2006

"Powerful Britpop-inspired instrumentals and vocal melodies delivered by silken-voiced frontwoman Peira." Caroline Evans, Amplifier Magazine, October 2006

"In Flight Radio is a smart, cool record that is deserving of recent attention." Sarah Davis, The Deli Magazine (CMJ Issue), October 2006

"Most of the time, the in flight radio stinks...Thankfully, Brooklyn-based In Flight Radio is nothing like that, i.e. it's good, and you'd be happy to tap your foot to its alt-rock rhythms...with the strong, airy, and honestly beautiful Peira on lead vocals, who also writes the tunes,, it's a estrogen-enhanced Coldplay." Jonathan, Silentuproar.com, November 2006

" Sincere and rather effortlessly melodic." Paul Regelbrugge, The Big Takeover, November 2006
