In Deepest Sleep is an alternative/experimental band from New York City. It is the 5-year old effort of Angelica Rodriguez, the guitarist and vocalist of the group. In Deepest Sleep (and it’s previous incarnation, Knaeph) existed as a solo project until mid-2007, when Pashell Mobley was recruited as drummer. Following her, Elysa Fein took over bass duties in early 2008. In Deepest Sleep’s influences are wide and varied, ranging from Tool to Death in June to PJ Harvey. Their eclectic music taste results in the creation of a unique sound that is difficult to entirely classify. From Hindustani Raga-influenced "Brenna’s Song" to punk-charged "Girl as Pill", In Deepest Sleep demonstrates a variety in sound while maintaining a signature, recognizable style.
